Dr. Kevin Coe works in the lab of Dr. Massimo Iorizzo. Dr. Coe’s research focuses on the domestication of carrot and understanding the genetic control of carotenoid accumulation. After joining Dr. Iorizzo’s lab, his work has also expanded to blueberry. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Kevin’s research utilized QTL mapping, RNA-sequencing, and whole genome resequencing to characterize the role of the carrot Or gene in promoting carotenoid accumulation in roots.
